That is just downright disturbing! Until you think about SirPete's quest for the perfect spoon, then it's sorta funny but still disturbing!

I got to it. Dud. Did anyone see the photos from the mall events? The Smoothenator didn't even bother to shave. Real smooth there!
All the while, I was hoping for innuendo.

I've been eating a lot of MREs lately.
Each one comes with a long handled spoon that would work great for freeze dried pouches.

I agree. I thought of that when I was eating MREs for Ivan too.

The Ti is new the spoon is not.

It looks just like the spoon the ancient Egyptians used to scoop the brains out through the nose of bodies before mummification.

Better check for boogers before use

I've always had a lexon spoon & fork. Rarely cooked, so they worked great for me. When I did cook, I was carefull with them & never melted them. Now, I carry a titanium spork.

The key here is the length, Catshiker. The spoon is 8.37 inches long.

I don't know Ewker. Maybe you should go measure. Measure your monster mixing spoons while yer at it and report back. =D

you don't need a spoon to measure the depth of the bags
Ewker

11/18/05

Nothing to do eh?! I have stuff to do; I'd just rather fool around.

Enertia bag is 7 1/3 inches to the zipper.
Ziplock freezer bag (quart size) is 8 inches even to the zipper.

Happy Pappy? ;)

thanks Sass, you're a sweetheart =)

since the spoon is only .37" longer than a freezer bag and 1" longer than the Enertia bag does that make it the perfect spoon?

You fold a freezer bag down a bit so the ti long-handled spoon is perfect. The first time you puncture a zip-lock bag holding your spagetti sauce will be the last time you mix food with your spork..LOL..that's why I like GSI's spork..the plastic fork tines were much less likely to puncture a plastic bag already weakened by hot food...but the handle still caused me to have food on my hands..gross if it got on my silk liners...I like the long handled spoon and yes, length counts!
